When software change is understood, there’s room for more
Setting the standard, not following it
Software doesn't stop changing, and security hasn't caught up. Our goal is to become the product a company reaches for the moment software changes, trusted enough that 'which changes matter' stops being an open question anywhere.
Nobody has achieved this yet, and that's exactly the scale of the problem we’re building towards. We’re still founder-led, still young enough that a good call from someone new to the team can change what happens next. Still unfinished in the best sense.

At the core of Cytix lies a belief about people
At Cytix we’re building teams diverse in personality, but aligned in behaviours. Five specific behaviours matter and we’ve outlined them in our internal values upheld by every single team member.
It's a narrow standard, and it's deliberate. So that we surround ourselves with the people that bring out the best.
Small enough to matter, ambitious enough to win
Right now the team is in build mode, favouring experimentation rather than a defined playbook.
Achieving our mission takes people who create momentum without being told to, who see things through past their own patch, and who hold a shared bar without ego getting in the way.

Values
Make the first move
When the goal is clear but the path isn't, you get moving rather than waiting for perfect instructions.
If you're blocked, you make a sensible call, and get stuck in. We'd rather you act and be slightly wrong than sit still.
Values
Find the smarter path
You ask why before how. You dig into what the real problem is instead of just building what the spec says, and you're happy to question 'that's how it's always been done' when the reason behind it has gone stale.
Values
See it through
When something's yours, it lands. No loose ends, no surprises for whoever picks it up next. You keep people posted when things change, and if something falls between roles, you catch it.
Values
Raise the bar
You do the best job possible in the time you've got, whether that's a day or a month. Sometimes that means deep craft; sometimes the smartest move is quick and scrappy.
It's about good judgement, and we hold each other to it without blame or politics.
Values
Play to win
You care about the mission but don't take yourself too seriously. You trust teammates to do things their own way, and bring a bit of humour when the pressure's on.
